WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • The duties of a Material Specialist shall include the delivery of parts and materials to the maintenance department and ground equipment maintenance department.
  • The duties of Material Specialist employees may also include the erection and/or assembly of stocking bins, shelves, decks, employing the use of required power tools when necessary and the driving of motor vehicles in the pick up and delivery of parts, equipment, materials and tools where Material Specialists are assigned.
  • The paragraph does not preclude the Company from utilizing Employees other than Material Specialists to perform inventorying functions.
  • Attends initial and ongoing training (classroom and/or on-the-job), and keeps current on knowledge, information, and equipment to gain proficiency in their work.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. LEAD Ops Contract Admin Labor Support Specialist will be responsible for the oversight of daily administrative and operational needs in providing labor support. The Sr. Specialist will oversee daily inquiries submitted by Flight Ops Unions and conduct research on possible contractual violations and make recommendations on ways to improve contract language. The Sr. Specialist will work directly with LEAD Operations Scheduling personnel to ensure a seamless and efficient Pilot Training experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report to the Manager, Contract Admin Labor Support
  • Support 3 CBAs in Flight Ops: Pilot, Flight Instructors, and Flight Simulator Technicians
  • Identify reoccurring contractual issues and develop a “Hot Topics” newsletter that addresses problem areas within LEAD Ops Scheduling. This will drive recurrent training in LEAD Ops Scheduling
  • Work closely with Labor Relations, Crew Scheduling and Labor Administration to ensure consistent application and thought leadership for improvements of all CBAs
  • Maintain a working knowledge of LEAD Operations Scheduling as well as a working knowledge of Flight Ops applications, policies, manuals and CBAs
  • Reference several policies and manuals such FOTM and the AQPM for compliance inquiries, as well as Advisory Circulars
  • Take clear and concise notes at various meetings, including but not limited to contract negotiations and grievance resolution meetings
  • Will mentor & guide Teammembers as needed
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
