As the Accounting Manager, Revenue, you will report to the Vice President Division Controller leading the accounting department.  While the corporate headquarters are based in Hawthorne, CA, you will work in Palm Beach, FL.

ACCOUNTING MANAGER, REVENUE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Partner with Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager to ensure revenues for all segments are accurately recorded in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Determine appropriate treatment for US GAAP revenue recognition under ASC 606 by reviewing contracts, validating proper recognition in financial systems, and assist in establishing revenue recognition policies.
  • Perform monthly and annual close activities which include analyzing accounts on a customer level, preparing revenue journal entries, accounting for contract modifications, performing account reconciliation and flux analyses, and resolving issues as needed
  • Assisting with financial statement reporting over deferred revenue including deferred revenue rollforward, contract/liability rollforward, and calculation of short term/long term classifications.
  • Monthly reconciliation of sales to deposits for multiple sales streams
  • Support ongoing implementation and testing efforts related to new financial systems.
  • Collaborate with Tax team to determine appropriate tax treatment of all new products and ensure customer accounts are configured accurately.
  • Support internal and external audit process including preparing audit schedules, gathering supporting documentation for walkthroughs and testing, preparing/reviewing internal control steps.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and elimination of existing manual processes.
  • Other duties assigned by Vice President Division Controller.

Experience in a public accounting firm is preferred.

Excellent working knowledge of ASC 606.

Experience with revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations and journal entries.

  •  Reviewing and auditing the station’s monthly performance and making appropriate adjustments, as necessary.
  • Ensuring station and staff follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  •  Maintaining a constant awareness of airport conditions and communicating them with the corporate offices.
  •  Ensuring that emergency response procedures meet the station’s needs.
  •  Acting as a liaison between any station vendors or contractors and corporate offices to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  •  Handling miscellaneous tasks relating to the station operations, customer service, and community engagement.
  •  Any other duties as requested by direct reports.Requirements for the position:
  •  Great customer service attitude and a willingness to “find a way” as opposed to “I can’t,” where applicable.
  • Working knowledge of Airport ramp, operations, and customer service positions; ability to perform all the duties of an airport customer service agent. Willing to perform all duties and tasks of those supervised.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  •  Computer skills – ability to learn reservation and phone systems, proficient with a PC.
  • Basic math abilities.
  •  Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations.
  •  At least 18 years of age.
  •  Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.Physical requirements:
  •  Must be able to lift 70-pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70-pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet
  •  Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.
  •  Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform duties.
