In addition, the Analyst supports event investigation through information gathering and conducts analytical projects assigned by the Manager of Safety Programs. The position will report to the Safety Programs Manager.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support the Manager of Safety Programs with daily administration of the safety reporting programs (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Fatigue Risk Management Plans (FRMP), etc.) for data analysis to improve flight and maintenance safety
    • Oversee the processing of reports and the maintenance of the safety reporting database
    • Work with data collection and analysis software
    • Perform data and root cause analysis of safety reports to determine adverse events or trends in flight and maintenance operations
    • Maintain a logical report taxonomy for the purposes of trend analysis
    • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes in support of the report review groups
    • Compile and present data summaries to senior management, regulators, employees, and partner carriers as part of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS)
    • Maintain reporting database, write database queries, and manage documentation supporting these functions
    • Coordinate with other airlines’ safety departments, governmental and academic institutions regarding safety reporting programs

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Experience with safety report processing and root cause analysis
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Project management and analytical skills
    • Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a positive attitude toward teamwork
    • Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
    • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work independently meeting specified deadlines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in aviation, science, or engineering field

The Safety Analyst for Occupational Health Programs will be responsible for implementing any Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) mandates, a hearing conservation program (HCP) for those employees working in a noise hazardous environment, along with supporting the company’s pandemic response program. This position reports to the Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with the ETS
    • Manage a reporting volume of 2,000 reports monthly
    • Develop and implement an auditing process of testing submissions
    • Communicate and develop corrective action plans for non-compliance
    • Coordinate with Information Technology team to enhance Intelex capabilities
    • Identify methods to further automate processes
    • Develop and publish communications in conjunction with Corporate Communications
    • Assist in COVID test sourcing when necessary
    • Provide requested OSHA information within required ETS guidelines
    • Coordinate with leadership to identify COVID-related staffing issues
    • Conduct contact tracing and provide direction for all COVID cases
    • Review and communicate updates on all federal and local requirements
    • Perform hearing tests throughout the Company
    • Enhance focus on On-the-Job Injury (OJI) prevention
    • Support the company’s Safety Management System (SMS)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, especially the occupational noise exposure standard (29 CFR 1910.95).
    • Ability to develop and manage large scale projects.
    • Advanced computer skills to include, QIK, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Determine root causes for disproportionate changes in data outputs between analysis
    • Propose model adjustment plans and conduct comparative analysis
    • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
    • Analyze and present data through reports that aid decision making
    • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems and reporting
    • Create, maintain, and refresh dashboards using Power BI desktop
    • Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for BI
    • Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions

    • Reconcile withholding unemployment and other payroll related tax returns and work with federal, state and local tax agencies on audit requests
    • Monitor system controls of tax calculations, prepare and complete investigations, provide tax explanations to employee inquiries and maintain related accounting information
