What Will You Be Doing?

The Configuration Control Engineer is the Primary Technical Services department contact for all Component related issues, modifications and projects. This position researches incomplete information supplied by Requestors and updates Component Effectivity and Interchangeability data in FMIS and IPC Supplements. Researches proposed Component Modifications for feasibility in the fleet and updates Engineering documentation accordingly.

Essential Functions

  • Under limited supervision, perform research and analysis on new or updated components by utilizing the Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB) and other technical data to search for and effectively change components to maintain the integrity of the IPC Supplement, FMIS, and component research database.
  • Work directly with Engineering and lessors to ensure comprehensive compliance and substantiation.
  • Assist aircraft maintenance departments in retrieval and analysis of aircraft information, as requested.
  • Provide support to the aircraft Maintenance Department for critical Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Ensure proper documentation exists for the authorization of aircraft parts.
  • Interpret and review drawings, technical data, Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFRs), Fleet Campaign Directives (FCDs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), engineering documents (EAs and EOs), and Service Bulletins (SBs).
  • Verify that vendor SBs, engineering documents or other support documentation include necessary approvals to ensure compliance with established company standards and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations requirements.
  • Facilitate the creation of SB Engineering Controls (ECs) within FMIS 

Other Functions

  • Modify and review Frontier Engineering Component Configuration documentation
  • Modify and review Engineering Component Configuration settings in FMIS
  • Generate Publication Change Requests (PCRs) to modify maintenance documentation
  • Modify part requirements in FMIS
  • Creation of SB and VSB tracking items in FMIS
  • Review and Analysis of RIL and Parts Pool Configuration Change Requests
  • Author engineering documents
  • Generate requisitions in FMIS and engineering documentation for acquisition of required items related to regulatory and company requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of associates degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Technology or a related field; combination of relevant education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating may be accepted in lieu of degree, with equivalent experience
  • Education in or experience with Quality Systems preferred though not required.
  • Prior 121 airline experience strongly preferred

What Will You Be Doing?

The primary role of a Desktop Support Engineer II is to work with other IT support and subject matter experts and act as the technical lead for troubleshooting highly complex peripheral equipment, telecommunications and network problems. Position plays a primary role in supporting end user systems and peripheral technical operations. The engineer recommends changes to the company’s desktop and laptop environment as it pertains to the supporting the general office and stations.

Essential Functions

  • Perform advanced desktop/laptop maintenance and troubleshooting.
  •  Perform advanced troubleshooting and apply knowledge of MS Windows, OS network user accounts/passwords/Active Directory to resolve complex system and process level problems.
  • Perform desktop software installation and removal.
  • Perform backup and restore functions as it relates to imaging and desktop management.
  • Provide direct user contact for problem determination.
  • Lead role on projects that require the installation and configuration of all equipment types; this includes imaging PC’s, installing software applications, configuring the operating system, system testing and user sign-off and project documentation.
  • Manage MDM – Mobile Device Management applications to deploy new mobile software and support the environment.
  • Manage Windows OS Imaging environment. Create and test new images for workstations and laptops as needed.
  • Manage End Point security and vulnerability mitigation using tools like SCCM.
  • Escalate problems to tier II and management as required.
  • Manage systems, applications and/or processes as directed.
  • Manage deployment and re-deployment of desktops/laptops/monitors/phones/printers.
  • Maintain system security and adherence to corporate policies throughout environment.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and implementation.
  • Assist with phone and email support.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory including User Accounts.
  • Lead high impact, technical IT projects involving both internal and external relationships to meet timelines and business objectives.

Other Functions

  • Provide tracking and single point of contact for problems and vendor relationships.
  • Work with internal and external suppliers to establish new relationships, service levels and support.
  • Adhere to documented change management processes to protect the integrity of the production environment.
  • Recommend and research new end user technologies.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience; or 5-6 years of combined education and experience.
  •  Minimum 1 year of experience administering a Windows AD environment
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience with email and user administration
  •  Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office 365
  •  Experience with Windows operating systems
  •  Experience with Mobile Device Management
  •  Experience preferred with Desktop and Laptop troubleshooting
  •  Industry certification are preferred. i.e., A+, Network+, MCP, MCSE

Under direction of the Manager, IT Systems Engineering, the Senior Citrix Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the systems and processes used to support our Citrix environment and users.
