What you’ll do

As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

75% of the duties will be identical across all bases regardless of size while 25% of the duties will be structured to accommodate the uniqueness of the base.

  • Be prepared to assume overall relief responsibility for the base operation
  • Responsible for on call operational support
  • On boarding support and development for all staff members as well as new hire flight attendants
  • Local Subject Matter expert in areas such as Engagement, Investigations, Documentation of Compliance items, etc.
  • Develops and manages special projects and takes the lead in mentoring others
  • Coaches and counsels their assigned flight attendants to assure a thorough understanding of and compliance with all Company and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Initiates appropriate corrective action, up to and including dismissal
  • Provides guidance in developing Flight Attendants for greater responsibility, transfer, and promotion
  • Participates in task forces and planning activities to problem solve and plan the future direction of the department

What you’ll do

  • Ensures a quality product is consistently delivered to our customers
  • Accomplishes in-flight Quality Assurance Rides and works with a variety of departments, other city management and vendors who are involved in producing or delivering the different aspects of the in-flight product
  • Supports various initiatives set by Flight Service and in an operational support role, working in the terminal, at the Crew Service Center, at the gates or on the aircraft, as required
  • Represents Flight Service at various station meetings
  • Works as a Flight Attendant
  • Performs other projects as assigned
  • Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to travel and be away from home 25% of the month

All you’ll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Experience in customer service industry
  • Prior leadership experience leading a team

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Current Flight Service, Passenger Service, or Passenger Sales experience in a leadership role either in training, base operations, or daily operations
  • Prior mentorship and policy administration experience
  • Flight Attendant experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of working with a contract labor group
  • Ability to qualify as a Flight Attendant
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects at the same time and presenting comfortably in front of large groups and Sr. Leadership
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
  • Pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated drug testing requirements, including verification with previous employers regarding DOT drug and alcohol violations and/or refusal to test. Applicants are required to fill out “Department of Transportation Testing Inquiry” form which provides authorization for release of records from previous employers
