Summary
The Fleet Integration Engineer – Structures/Interiors is responsible to review and understand the proposed aircraft configuration prior to aircraft purchase to ensure the intended aircraft conforms to the existing aircraft within the Allegiant fleet. The Specialist must develop a mitigation plan to ensure fleet conformance if needed. This position requires developing structural and interiors engineering solutions to affect repair or modification to the Allegiant Air aircraft entering the fleet.  This position also advises and provides technical expertise to Heavy Maintenance vendors to ensure on-time aircraft entry into service.

Minimum Requirements
A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering, engineering sciences, aeronautics or related discipline.
Years of Experience: Minimum four (4) years of technical experience with large transport aircraft in the airline, manufacturing, or leasing company environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
Preferred Requirements
• A&P license preferred.
• Knowledge of aircraft interior design.
• Ability to understand and use LOPA and other engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of Aircraft and Component Maintenance Manuals.
• Knowledge of aircraft structural repair design.
• Knowledge of and ability to understand OEM Structural Repair Manuals (SRM).
• Familiarity with composite repair techniques.
Job Duties
• Review initial aircraft data to identify how the aircraft will align with the existing fleet, from an operational, maintenance, and configuration basis. This review includes but is not limited to the following:
– Aircraft MFG./Production Line Number.
– Aircraft Weight Variant.
– Aircraft Mod Status (SB compliance, STC incorporation, Operator EO incorporation).
– Aircraft cabin configuration for fleet compatibility.
– Engine Mfg, Model Number, and Power Rating.
• Prepare informational report identifying differences between existing aircraft and remaining fleet.
• Communicate this informational report to affected departments to prepare justification of any modifications required to conform the aircraft to the existing Allegiant fleet of aircraft. (SB incorporation, STC incorporation, or company EO incorporation).
• Identify needed changes to the existing Allegiant MTLSM or Task Cards including a review of all current and proposed STC incorporation ICA’s.
• Identify needed changes to the existing or the development of new Allegiant Engineering Orders.
• Coordinate departures from Allegiant standard with affected departments (InFlight, Flight Ops, Engineering, etc.).
• Utilize the MCR/Jira process to document the required changes as necessary.
• Liaison with the aircraft manufacturer to understand available RIL’s, SB modifications and expected kit lead times.
• Develop solutions to induction aircraft interior issues that may impact the entry into service schedule.
• Coordinate engineering activities as needed with other internal Allegiant departments such as Materials/Purchasing, Heavy Maintenance Planning, Heavy Maintenance, Finance, etc.
• Respond dynamically to requests from maintenance or any other airline department to resolve technical issues.
• Serve as a Technical Expert for induction Interiors/Structures items.
• Knowledge of FAR regulations and certification requirements related to interiors/structures, and other government requirements for passenger safety and accommodation.
• Other duties as assigned.
