    Role Summary

    The Supervisor Inflight Probationary Support oversees and executes an industry-leading probationary process where new hire flight attendants feel valued, committed, and connected to Alaska Airlines. As a people leader, this Supervisor trains and maintains probationary process documents and coordinates consistent oversight across the Inflight division.

    Key Duties

    • Develop, supervises the execution of an industry-leading probationary process where new hire flight attendants feel valued, committed, and connected to Alaska Airlines.
    • Schedules and conducts probationary reviews and provides ongoing coaching and monitoring of probationary flight attendants in the following areas: attendance, safety, operational performance, manual compliance, customer service and employee conflict.
    • Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback focusing on delegation, coaching, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, managing performance of individuals in executing tasks, and time management
    • Ensures consistent application of company and contractual policies as it relates to Flight Attendants to maximize their engagement with customers and consistent execution of service flow while ensuring safety and compliance.
    • Serves as the central resource for all Inflight Bases ensuring probationary reviews are completed
    • Participates in base orientation and develops and maintains base introduction documents.
    • Represents Inflight management at community events, initial classes, graduation, new employee orientation, and IOE’s.
    • Administers investigations that involve work rule violations in a timely manner (e.g., attendance and reliability, company or flight attendant manuals, rules or regulations, customer complaints, and crew conflicts).
    • Formulates plans and processes to conduct accurate, complete, and thorough investigations within specified timeframes (i.e., identifying witnesses, appropriate questioning, statement gathering, and other evidence).
    • Develops and presents investigative findings and prepares comprehensive documentation to support appropriate actions.
    • Partners with labor relations, human resources, and legal to provide recommendations and corrective action surrounding performance of flight attendants.
    • Drive effective diversity, equity and inclusion practices to build a culture of belonging while actively supporting and executing on the company’s D&I initiatives, goals and commitments.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

    Required

    • 3 years of experience in airline operations, supervisory experience or equivalent relevant experience.
    • 2 years’ experience delivering feedback and having challenging conversations.
    • A Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of training, experience in lieu of this degree.
    • Ability to fly as a crew member during irregular operations/weather.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Must successfully complete 5-6 weeks of Flight Attendant training (if not already qualified as an AS Flight Attendant) and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant.
    • Must be able to travel up to 25%.
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Minimum age of 21.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
