    The Senior Field Service Specialist is a subject matter expert for installation and maintenance of all information and communications systems at Alaska Airlines (AS) and Horizon Air (QX) facilities and contracted locations. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgement to make decisions around oversight for vendors, contractors, and peers to implement technology projects.

    Key Duties

    • Acts as a subject matter expert for installation and maintenance of all information communication systems for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air facilities and contracted locations.
    • Manages the execution of information, communication, airport-related systems, and IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, voice (telephone and radio), and mobile.
    • Exercises judgement to resolve complex, break-fix issues; troubleshoot user problems at the desktop or provide phone support to diagnosis remote customer issues. Makes recommendations in the testing, development, and determination of departmental standards.
    • Creates accurate and detailed documentation of all supported systems and physical locations.
    • Manages Service Desk tickets daily using ITSM solution ensuring they are properly documented including description, troubleshooting, and resolution.
    • Guides and leads contractors, vendors, and peers with implementations and problem resolution for assigned systems.
    • Manages, organizes, and completes projects of large scope and complexity, prioritizing tasks, and managing the team’s time effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Serves as a resource and provides technical projects and maintenance assistance to peers and companion work groups, while ensuring good inter-departmental relations.
    • Makes recommendations to enhance the operations of the IT customer support department, seeking out innovative and creative solutions to technical issues. Continuously improves infrastructure operations by seeking out innovative and creative solutions to technical issues.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

    Required

    • 4 years of IT work experience implementing and/or supporting Infrastructure platforms and projects.
    • Bachelor’s degree; or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
    • Experience participating in small, medium, and large cross-divisional technology projects.
    • Proven experience quickly learning new technologies, processes, and methodologies.
    • Technical project leadership experience.
    • General knowledge of infrastructure topology and installation of hardware (computers, printers, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
    • Experience with mobile devices.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating effective verbal and written communication at all levels in the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all customer information.
    • Ability to lift/stand/bend/climb in order to complete essential job functions.
    • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%of the time.
    • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (e.g., evenings, weekends, after-hours, holidays, etc.).

As an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations to improve cardholder spend and share of wallet, drive card usage, and prevent attrition.Key Duties
    • This position recommends and executes engagement strategies, which include initiatives to increase credit card spend for credit card holders, continuous cardholder engagement through communication and education about benefits, and event and sponsorship activations.
    • Manage invoicing and tracking of all partner and vendor relationships including but not limited to program and event management, strategic services and production staff.
    • Collaborate with Manager and with external partners and internal teams to develop strategic rationale and ROI justification for member engagement programs.
    • Work with Bank & Visa, and internal loyalty program management, growth & guest communication teams to develop member engagement lifecycle programs & communication.
    • Oversee agency and vendor partners and internal teams to plan and execute loyalty engagement programs/events.
    • Gathers and maintains requirements for credit card communication, program, process & system development and enhancements.
    • Ensure flawless delivery of all credit card benefits, and optimize guest experience around benefit delivery and usage, working with Analytics and other internal teams to track and report on key cardholder engagement KPIs.
    • Facilitate the integration of new program/system features and capabilities with stakeholders.
    • Support internal teams with execution deliverable, including testing and QA.
    • Present program and event updates to Loyalty Team leadership.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

    Required

    • 2 years of experience as a marketing or loyalty specialist, program manager, product owner or other relevant experience; experience in event management a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
    • Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening), interpersonal, presentation and customer relations skills.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
    • Experience executing marketing strategies and initiatives in an organization of similar scope and size.

As an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations to improve the development and implementation of Horizon’s comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) for the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) division by incorporating procedures to identify and maintain compliance with current safety-related legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements. This position supports the FAA Liaison & Maintenance Program Manager during investigations of non-compliance and other issues raised by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).Key Duties
    • Act as the SMS focal for all Horizon M&E Division related SMS issues.
    • Identify current safety-related legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
    • Partner with other divisions to support Horizon’s SMS program compliance.
    • Support the FAA Liaison & Maintenance Program Manager in the investigation of M&E Division related non-compliances. Maintain system to track formal and informal inquiries from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and ensure responses and promised actions are completed in a timely manner.
    • Develop and implement tools and dashboards to analyze safety and non-compliance data for presentation to M&E Management.
    • Partner with FAA Liaison & Maintenance Program Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Control Manager, and M&E Management to develop and maintain an effective SMS data analysis process.
    • Conduct Quality Compliance Review of Self Disclosures and Compliance Actions. Analyze corrective actions and process improvements in response to Review findings.
    • Review and analyze internal and external audits, and non-compliance and irregularity data to identify trends, safety concerns and effectiveness of risk controls. Provide input to Data Analysis Group (DAG) and Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program Board (CASP)/Safety Review Board (SRB).
    • Participate in all Horizon M&E related Safety Risk Management (SRM)/Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) processes.
    • Prepare Leadership for cross-divisional Safety Management Meetings. Prepare formal written proposals, policy changes, and business cases to support recommendations.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

    Required

    • A minimum of 2 years of airline experience in a role that provides a thorough understanding of aviation airworthiness and/or regulatory compliance.
    • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
    • Proficient understanding of the Safety Management System program.
    • Ability to evaluate and analyze data, identify process weakness and gaps, and react by driving outcomes.

As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in Catering Ops, is responsible for solving complex issues, and provides recommendations that address the performance of catering vendors in support our company standards and goals.Key Duties
    • Is responsible for the strategic relationship, operational integrity and compliance of catering vendors in our largest and most complex locations.
    • As a subject matter expert, strategically develops and implements solutions to kitchen and ramp catering processes to mitigate operational and safety risks and ensure compliance with inflight & safety food and beverage (FAB) policies.
    • Independently oversees the catering operations cycle in its entirety for the scope of their portfolio – including KPI tracking and management, kitchen audits, reviews, investigations and risk-based process audits and reports. Responsible for administering follow-up audits and developing recovery plans for failing kitchens.
    • Leverages their Subject Matter Expertise and established field relationships with station leaders to improve processes that support catering and benefit the overall operation.
    • Monitors and drives improvements to key performance indicator (KPI) metrics within assigned region, and proactively manages strategies to meet goals.
    • Collaborates with airport station leadership and outside vendors to implement solutions based on audit findings and monitors the effectiveness of corrective actions.
    • Leverages expertise of business processes and best practices to lead real-time coaching and consult for training of kitchen personnel.
    • Leads cross-divisional projects driven by catering changes, including executing effective use of SMS, communications to stakeholders, and effective change management through completion.
    • Represents food and beverage team and serves as key point-of-contact to assigned station leaders including AOCS, inflight, maintenance and flight operations.
    • Collaborates cross-functionally as a key stakeholder for development and implementation of new menu cycles.
    • Fosters relationships with Business Partners to ensure catering performance sustains throughout scheduled cycle changes and meets the expectation of our operational goals and our guests.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

    Required

    • 4 years of experience in airline catering operations management, airline vendor management, food and beverage manufacturing or related area.
    • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in food and beverage management, auditing or a related discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
    • A thorough understanding of large-scale airline operations and/or food and beverage operations.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Superior problem solving, planning, organizational and analytical skills.
    • Ability to understand complex business processes and key controls to mitigate operational and safety risks.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences in a positive and professional manner.
