Supporting the airlines’ Maintenance Department, the Operations Planning Analyst schedules aircraft maintenance, manages maintenance workloads and maintains the integrity of scheduled maintenance activities within the requirements of the maintenance program from the present through 18 days.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.**
    • Analyzes detailed aircraft maintenance due reports for each aircraft. Accurate interpretation of this data is crucial in this role as final authority for deferring individual maintenance tasks or entire aircraft maintenance visits to a maintenance facility.
    • As the single point of contact for production personnel, the Planning Analyst provides direction when co-workers, maintenance supervisors or station/departmental managers seek to defer scheduled maintenance items in order to maximize a maintenance opportunity.
    • Stationed in the Systems Operations Center, the Planning Analyst must remain keenly aware of daily aircraft performance. Acting with moderate direct supervision, the position requires timely, accurate analysis and the creation of realistic solutions to inquiries from SOC personnel tasked to achieve daily performance objectives.
    • Providing oversight of all scheduled maintenance events and assuring continuous compliance of all manufacture and regulatory requirements, the Analyst manages the scheduled maintenance plan. The position requires constant diligence in order to balance ever changing manpower allowances and parts and tooling availability with maintenance program deadlines in order to provide individual maintenance facilities with the best opportunity to meet hangar launch performance goals.

    Requirements Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Any of the following Educational Degrees or equivalent experience is preferred:
    • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management/Maintenance or

    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or
    • Two years of experience in a position with an emphasis on planning and production control is required.

    The Flight Budget Analyst is the financial focal point for Flight, InFlight, Pilot Training, and other Flight Operations Departments.  This position is responsible for all pilot travel and expense approval and reconciliation including uniforms, per diem, and parking.  The Flight Budget Analyst also initiates the pilot training wage transfer from operations. This role is responsible for assisting with preparing, monitoring, and reporting for Flight Operations Departments.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Creates, prepares, maintains, and presents detailed reports to analyze and track trends in the Flight Operations departments budgets.
    • Analyzes and explains various monthly administrative, operational, publications and pilot training variances.
    • Identifies areas for budgetary savings, process efficiency, and productivity improvement.
    • Prepares the monthly Pilot and Flight Attendant training wage debit expenses for the monthly training wage accounts.
    • Manages the pilot uniform and headset banks (accruals and usage).
    • Works with Crew Resources to report planned absences, including training and vacations, fo the monthly bid.
    • Reviews and approves all pilot uniform, headset, and alternate parking expenses.
    • Reviews and approves all Flight department pilot and instructor training per diem.
    • Reviews and approves monthly Pilot and Flight Attendant union billing
    • Works with other departments to help with new hire processing including setting up FAs in FLICA
    • Process Pilot and Flight Attendant yearly and monthly vacation bids, and audit management vacations.
    • Keep inventory of needed new hire supplies including wings and hat brass
    • Creates and maintains analysis tools including the compilation of data from multiple sources to arrive at the required information needed for fact based decision making.
    • Liaison between Accounting, Payroll and Flight department.
    • Flight department focal for the expense (Concur) and invoice (On Base) systems.
    • Assists the Manager of Flight Administration and Support in maintaining budgetary focus on specified accounts (Jeppessen, Simulator Usage, Training Wages).
    • Supports overall department budget by providing reports and statistics from various databases/programs.
    • Validate and process all company paid pilot moves per contractual rules.
    • Prepares and maintains monthly variance summary spreadsheet.
    • Applies applicable and/or contractual rules as it pertains to Company business activities.
    • Educates new hire pilots on various administrative processes during on-boarding presentations on reimbursements, uniforms, parking, etc.
    • Provides customer service support for pilots, leadership, peers, and other company departments regarding Flight expenses and invoices.
    • Assists with special projects and documentation.
    • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
    • Adherence to all Company policies and procedure.

    Education/Experience

    • High School diploma required, Associates degree in accounting or business administration preferred
    • 1+ year’s budget or financial analysis related experience, preferred.
    • 1+ years’ experience in using Excel, MS Access, Crystal Reporting, and SSRS preferred
    • Familiarity with pilot collective bargaining agreements preferred.
    • Experience in the preparation of employee and leadership presentations.
    • Demonstrated problem identification skills with follow through to resolution

    The Benefits and Risk Analyst is responsible for data analysis of the Benefits and Risk Management department, supporting team projects and the administration of the Company retirement plans.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Prepare various cost/benefit analysis to support the decision making process for the employee benefit and insurance areas of the company. *
    • Prepares and maintains reports to measure and monitor various metrics for the employee benefit and insurance areas of the company.  *
    • Work with team members to automate and streamline reporting. *
    • Assist the Financial Planning team by providing timely budgets, variance analysis and forecasts of employee benefit and insurance.  *
    • Leads the team with maintenance and testing of existing functions of benefit elections and sessions within the HRIS and the file layout of eligibility files to vendors. *
    • Administers 401(k) retirement plan benefits to include: generating and preparation of employer contribution reports and employee salary deferral contributions. *
    • Acts as primary contact to employees for 401(k) questions. *
    • Coordinates any federal regulated or random audits pertaining to all Air Wisconsin 401(k) retirement plans. *
    • Provides support as needed with the disability leave of absence area such as coordinating leaves with employees, supervisors/managers and outside vendors. *
    • Coordinates the tracking and monitoring of employee usage of FMLA and disability benefits as applicable. *
    • Coordinates any accommodation and fitness for duty reviews. *
    • Supports the Loss Prevention Manager on the coordination of the return to work programs. *
    • Provides assistance with the Company business continuity planning. *
    • Performs assigned tasks associated with the annual open enrollment period. *
    • Cross train to support roles in the benefits and risk management department. *
    • Other duties as assigned. *
    • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility. *
    • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures. *

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in the area of Human Resources or Financial Management or 2-3 years’ related experience required
    • Prefer three years’ experience in a union environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet and HRIS
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
