The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support throughout organization as part of the Financial Planning and Analytics team. This position will work with managers to coordinate, prepare and monitor departmental budgets and variances. The Financial Analyst will also serve as a liaison between Department heads and Senior Corporate Management regarding financial matters.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform multifaceted financial analysis with respect to financial planning, operating results, new business initiatives, labor negotiations, and other projects.*
- Gather financial or benchmark data to develop standard models to support decision-making.*
- Develop productivity standards to justify manpower requirements.*
- Support in the development and analysis of operating and capital budgets.*
- Review, analyze and complete Capital Appropriation Requests
- Review of invoices coded to capital projects to ensure accuracy of spending.*
- Review contracts, and provide detailed financial analysis to support Appropriation Request, or outsourcing.*
- Provide direction to Departmental Managers to ensure the budget input process is efficient and effective.*
- Provide Senior Management with the information required to effectively review and approve the annual budget.*
- Compare operating performance with operating plans and standards with a thorough review of budget variances. Report to management those areas for cost savings.*
- Perform monthly/quarterly budget reviews, projections and budget revisions. Prepare ad hoc queries and departmental trend analysis to support budget changes.
- Provide financial and budget system training and support to Department Managers.*
- Assist in the monthly review of preliminary financial statements.
- Provide analytical support to the Strategic Sourcing team as necessary
- Maintain the Cost Center System and budget data in Infinium’s General Ledger.
- Work with other division managers to develop consistent and efficient budgeting processes for all departments.*

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and graphing skills, Showcase Query skills.
- Highly comfortable in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfort with accounting software
- High level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Advanced business-writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
