Happy December!
2023 has almost come to a close. This has been a major R&D year for us, with most of our time spent on the upcoming Craft 5 and Commerce 5 releases, as well as soft-launching Craft Cloud.
We’re proud of the progress we made this year, and we can’t wait to see these efforts come into fruition in 2024.

We’ve wrapped up some exciting new features for Craft 5 since it was revealed two months ago:
- Breadcrumbs have been redesigned, and elements now have action menus which appear within their breadcrumbs, chips, and cards.
- Matrix fields can now have nested card views.
- User account management has been re-architected, and we’ve added 2FA and passkey support.
There’s still more work to be done—particularly on the UI side of things—but at this point it’s safe for most plugins to start getting ready for Craft 5. So we’ve tagged the first pre-release version: 5.0.0-alpha.1!
